 Generally regarded as the world's
great dramatist and one of the finest poets in the English language, William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon in April, 1564.
When Shakespeare was 13 or 14 years old, his father began having financial difficulties and his formal education probably ended at about
this age. At about the age of 18, he married 26 year old Anne Hathaway, the daughter of a farmer in nearby Shottery. His three
children were born in 1583 and 1585. Little is known of his life between 1585 and 1592, when he reappears in London.
